Three words for 2013
For the first time, I thought about what I wanted to grow in and got it down on paper in a way that reminds me what I am about.
So here are my three words for last year. (This year’s words are coming!)
1 Peter 5:8 Be sober-minded; be watchful. Your adversary the devil prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour.
• Over my time
• Over my soul
• Over my children
• Over my plants (general stuff in my care)
2 Corinthians 9:7 Each one must give as he has decided in his heart, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.
• With my time
• With my resources
• With my love
Philippians 4:8 Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things.
• Why am I doing/saying this?
• Should I be doing/saying this?
• How can I do/say this better?
• What should I do/say instead?
